COVID-19 Responder/Opioid Safety Coordinator

Where are you from?

I’m from California and have lived both in SoCal and the Bay Area. I’m planning on remaining in the Bay for as long as I can!

Why did you decide to join NHC?

I wanted to join a service organization that was public-health oriented, as well as get more involved in my local SF community in a way that addressed root causes of health disparities and focused on the whole person.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

I’m hoping to gain hands-on skills in public health that will help me be a more informed, compassionate provider in my future career in medicine.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I’m most looking forward to getting to know the populations I serve as well as the hardworking, like-minded folks from my cohort!
