Why did you decide to join NHC?

I decided to join NHC because the topic of health equity is one I am passionate about and I find it immensely important, especially within a community aspect. I have lived in the Chicagoland area all my life and nothing would be more rewarding than to give back to a community I love. I hope to eventually pursue my Masters of Public Health degree and NHC seemed like a great way to get involved into the world of public health.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

I am hoping to learn more about the communities I will be serving, as well as how public health professionals collaborate to improve the well-being of others and address certain issues.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I'm looking forward to strengthening my teamwork and leadership skills through building relationships with my fellow NHC members and colleagues.
