Amid a pandemic, Evelyn joined AmeriCorps as an opportunity for her to practice the skills she obtained from her degree in Public Health. Evelyn is a Santa Monica, CA native who recently graduated from San Jose State University. After spending the past four years in the Bay Area, Evelyn wanted to make a difference in the community that shaped me into the person she is today. The AmeriCorps program allows her to explore careers in public health and gain experience while serving vulnerable populations in San Francisco. During her time in service, Evelyn hopes to connect with those who need it the most. Overall, Evelyn wants her interactions to give her a chance to further expand her skills and passions.
