Position Title: Food Farmacy Health Educator

Where are you from?

I was born in Hollywood, CA, but my father's military service took me to South Carolina, Germany, Korea, Florida, Australia, Turkey, Alabama, Virginia, Japan, Massachusetts, and the UK! I'm excited to explore my new home in Chicago, and I'll be sure to learn all I can from its unique culture and opportunities!

Why did you decide to join NHC?

Remembering my own experiences in low-income, health service-disparate communities, I seek to serve those who need it most.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

Above all else, I want to learn from those around me. I hope my year or service will expose me to unique ways of thinking that challenge and galvanize me—providing me opportunities to teach and learn—that can directly translate to my future medical and public health career.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

Beyond exploring Chicago, I look forward to interacting with my service site and learning more about underserved urban communities.
