Position Summary

Start Date: August 18th, 2025

End Date: July 6th, 2026

About the Position: The purpose of the NHC member service as Senior Vitality Assistant is to support the work of a health and technology wellness program. This program trains older adults on the use of technology, with the overall goal of using technology to improve their health and wellness and reduce their isolation. The member will work with both individual older adults and groups.

Participation in Curry’s Senior Vitality program aligns with NHC’s focus area of increasing older adults (adults 50 or older) ability to remain living in their own home with the same quality of life for as long as possible. We have focus group feedback from participants about how this program has improved their quality of life through: enhancing / reinforcing connections to peers, their doctors and family, in addition to the improvements in their physical and mental health through attendance at regular classes, learning how to track their activity, improving their steps, monitoring their sleep and weight, providing a supportive community of peers and program staff, etc.

About the Organization: Curry's mission is Promoting Wellness, Dignity and Independence for Seniors. At Curry Senior Center we strive to ensure our clients stay in their homes and their communities as long as they can, independently. Curry offers integrated health care, housing, case management support, social programs, wellness programs, free meals and community activities for all older adults, especially our most vulnerable, low income or unhoused.
