Why did you decide to join NHC?
 Prior to joining NHC, I spent time abroad studying, volunteering, and interning with non-profit organizations in Europe, Africa, and Asia. I joined NHC so I could serve a disadvantaged community in the United States and help individuals navigate the overly complicated U.S. healthcare system. 

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?
 I'm hoping to learn more about the U.S. healthcare system from both a patient and provider perspective and how its shortcomings can be improved upon. I'm also looking to improve my communication skills and cross-cultural competence. 

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?
I'm most looking forward to interacting and developing relationships with patients and other healthcare professionals. Additionally, I'm really excited about this year's cohort of NHC members and look forward to spending more time with everyone and exploring this beautiful city!
