Why did you decide to join NHC?
Having worked with Americorps volunteers before, I thought that a service term seemed like a great way to learn and help others during my gap year!

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?
I am hoping to learn more about navigating insurance and pharmaceutical companies to help patients access care, and to gain an understanding of the barriers patients in our health system face. 

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?
I am looking forward to connecting with patients, fellow Americorps members and new mentors, practicing my language skills in Spanish and Portuguese, and exploring more of Philadelphia!
