Why did you decide to join NHC?

After graduating from the University of Arizona, I knew I wanted to be a part of something bigger and serve someplace where I could help to bring about change with others. I knew NHC would be the perfect place for me to reach these goals, all while having fun and making new, life-long connections at the same time!

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

During my service term, I hope to learn valuable skills that will help me best serve San Francisco’s diverse patient populations and how to care for, nurture, and support them as best as possible. Most of all, I’m hoping to continue growing as a person and broadening my perspectives of the world as I meet and interact with everyone over the next year.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I’m most looking forward to meeting all the patients, fellow NHC members, and program leaders to learn more about their stories and what drives them forward. I’m equally excited about exploring San Francisco and learning about everything that the city has to offer!
