My name is Annie Feldkamp and I’m originally from Cincinnati, OH, but I’ve lived in Chicago the past four years! I graduated in June 2020 from the University of Chicago with a BA in Biological Sciences, concentration in Global Health, and minor in Human Rights! In a COVID-19-free world, you can find me running along the Lakefront trail, playing rugby, or going on camping trips with my friends.
I’m so excited to be a part of the 2020-2021 National Health Corps Chicago because I’m passionate about community-based approaches to achieving health equity! Working with various public health organizations my past summers in Chicago has demonstrated the power of collaborative action in reducing health disparities, and I’m excited to continue partnering with motivated and innovative changemakers in Chicago. Specifically, I hope to learn more about trauma-informed approaches to community health initiatives.
My future goals include pursuing a dual MD-MPH degree and exploring more of Chicago once COVID-19 is contained. I look forward to continuing fostering relationships with the NHC Chicago Corps and the communities I serve!
