Originally from East Bay, Eli remembers the first time he saw people setting up tents under freeways in Oakland. After graduating from college on the east coast, Eli wanted to come back to the Bay Area and serve his community, especially those who are most affected by multiple pandemics: Covid-19, systemic racism, and socioeconomic inequality. Eli is excited to be serving with the San Francisco Department of Public Health as both a Whole Person Integrated Care Coordinator, helping link unhoused people in Shelter in Place sites with medical care and other services, as well as in his role as Covid-19 Responder notifying and interviewing those who have tested positive for Covid-19 in San Francisco County.
