Adelle KananBack to Member List
Originally from Missouri, Adelle moved to the West Coast to attend the University of Washington, where she earned Bachelor’s Degrees in biology and philosophy. Throughout the last few years, she served in various environments, like a Seattle-based homeless women’s center and the UCSD Health Center. She wanted to continue serving her community in a hands-on way, so she joined AmeriCorps Program in San Francisco. As a Food Access Coordinator with the Food as Medicine Collaborative and a COVID-19 Responder, Adelle is looking to deepen her already present commitment to promoting health equity in her community by supporting food security and providing patients with accurate and helpful information on the pandemic. In the future, Adelle hopes to attend medical school and take any experience she gains concerning social determinants of health into a career as a primary care physician.
