Hi, my name is Emily Fisher, and I just graduated from the University of Michigan with a major in Neuroscience and a minor in Community Action and Social Change. I love to travel and have been lucky to study abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, exploring a new culture while simultaneously learning about the neuroscience of fear. I also worked in a clinic in Cusco, Peru, aiding physicians in pediatrics, triage, and the lab. During these experiences, I always found time to play sports (soccer and dance) and exercise, since I find solace in these hobbies. Let me know if you ever want to play soccer! I am most looking forward to meeting new people during this upcoming service term, and hope to gain a wider perspective on the healthcare system outside of a clinical setting. I recently applied to medical school, so I hope to use this newly gained knowledge while practicing medicine.
