I am a Care Coordinator at Bethlehem Haven!

Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps?
I want to provide support to vulnerable populations and National Health Corps is a unique opportunity to be of service to a community while also engaging in learning opportunities and growth with a diverse cohort.

What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?
I am hoping to build relationships with my patients/clients and gain a greater understanding of the challenges they face and what role I can play in creating solutions to improve their health and wellbeing. I hope to grow professionally, do a lot of learning and maybe refine my career path some more. I also want to explore Pittsburgh and connect with other National Health Corps members!

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
I want to work as an EMT for a year then go to either PA school or Medical school

Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?
Maybe still in school, maybe already starting a career in healthcare, but hopefully in a position that enables me to support individuals with their health and wellbeing (especially people for whom the system is not set up to support well!) Outside of my career, I hope to be surrounded by people I love, meeting/learning from new people, reading some good books and getting out into nature a whole lot. I would also love to have a dog!
