Where are you from? 

I was born in Van Nuys, CA. I moved to Bakersfield, California when I was 5 years old and have been living here since then so I consider it my home.

Why did you decide to join NHC? 

I wanted to challenge myself to join something different and out of my comfort zone. I was interested in NHC when I learned that it's a program that serves communities with lower resources and I would like to expand my knowledge in that area.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term? 

I hope to gain leadership and communication skills. I also hope to learn more about my community at my host site during my service term.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I look forward to meeting new people and forming new ideas with the group I will be working with.
