Where are you from?: 
I was born in Clovis California but I have lived and grown up in Fowler, California my entire life.
This is the place that I consider home.

Why did you decide to join NHC?:
I joined NHC because I want to help better the health of those in my community. I understand
that not everyone has the same access to healthcare or proper health literacy to better their
health. By joining NHC I hope to have an impact on these individuals so that they can better
their health and live a healthy lifestyle.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?
During my service term I hope to gain experience as a community health worker. I want to learn
different skills that I can apply in the work field and use in future jobs. I also hope to gain skills
that will help me make an impact in bettering the health of those in my community.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?
What I am looking forward to most during my service term is getting to learn hands-on skills as a
community health worker and being able to apply these skills. I am also looking forward to
getting to learn from others and network.
