Why did you decide to join NHC?

Throughout the last few years I realized that one of the primary reasons I wanted to go into medicine was to help address the disparities in healthcare and access to healthcare in medically underserved populations. I joined NHC because I wanted to learn more about these issues and the complexity of factors that affect patient care, as well as how I may be most helpful moving forward.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

I hope to gain more experience interacting with diverse populations and practicing cultural competence in healthcare.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term? 

I am most excited to serve with and get to know other NHC members and get involved with my community!
