Cleveland, OH

Why did you join NHC Pittsburgh?

I've always been interested in improving healthcare access especially in light of my family's own encounters with receiving medical care. NHC Pittsburgh will give me the opportunity to pursue this full-time for a service year to help a community similar to my own Cleveland community.

What do you hope to gain or learn during your service term?    

I hope to learn more about the factors important for taking care of Rustbelt communities like my own in Cleveland. Additionally, I hope to learn more about improving access to healthcare and how social determinants influence health directly in the field.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?            

Exploring and meeting new people in Pittsburgh.
